Thank you
New versions of GPU Tweak II have been released, 1.4.3.8 with the skin. 1.4.3.9 without the skin.
Both are reading the core clock correctly.

Hi! I saw your overclocking guide and decided to try it out! However I am definitely not getting very far...
As you can see in this picture: http://imgur.com/a/MXdoe
I can only increase my GPU boost clock by 10 mhz, if I do more it doesn't crash in Heaven or Valley but crashes in 3DMark Firestrike, so I guess it's not stable? My memory clock seems to be stable though, except after like 5 loops in 3DMark but i'm not sure if that means much. Also i'm not sure how to properly set a fan curve, the problem is that I have an animated wallpaper and that causes my card to go in and out of 0db all the time which is really annoying, how can I turn 0db mode off? And also make the fan curve a little more aggressive since my card reaches to 77c and i'm not sure if that's good for the card. Also should I also raise the temp limit to the max? Or is that dangerous? I raised voltage and power target to the max.
The strangest thing is though that my card doesn't crash in OC mode (This is a Strix 1070 OC BTW) and that applies +20mhz, but it crashes when I apply +20mhz in my custom profile, why is that? Would I be better off just running in OC mode? but then my memory wouldn't be overclocked?
Thanks.

Hi radiatical
Welcome to the ROG forum.
It seems yours doesn't overclock the core very well like mine, I'm only able to get +33MHz overclock on the core, however your memory clock looks great.
You'll definitely want to set a fan curve to keep temp below 70c, once the temp hits 70c you'll experience throttling.
To set a fan curve, under fan speed click "user define" then click the gear to the right and it brings up this.
The numbers on the bottom are the gpu temp, the numbers on the left are the fan speed in %. I have mine set to when the gpu hits 60c the fans are running 100%.
Set up your overclock profile with your fan profile and use that.Last edited by Nate152; 03-15-2017 at 12:38 AM.

It's fine to let the temp target synced with the power target, with a set fan profile you won't come close to hitting the temp target.
I'm not sure about the 0db fan mode, I'm not seeing that with GPU Tweak II version 1.4.3.8.
Try it with your fan profile and see if the fans are still ramping up and down.Last edited by Nate152; 03-15-2017 at 01:42 AM.

Is it a good idea for it to instantly go from 20% to 100% or should I make some kind of curve? Also how come when I set the fan to under 15% the middle fan turns off?

That's close, if you scroll up and see my fans are off until the temp hits 60c.
Try setting it the way I have it above and see how the middle fan behaves.
