    Unhappy just installed new mainboard - Code 53

    Hey Guys!
    i've received my new rampage V board today but can't get it running.
    it keeps showing me Code 53 even without any memorys installed.
    sticker says bios 1701.
    memOK button doesn't help either.
    removed powercable and battery for a few minutes - still code 53.

    any ideas what i could try?
    is there a way to update the bios without booting at all?

    QCODE 53 is a memory error. Make sure you've installed your memory modules correctly. Push them all the way down to hear the click sound.

    Also please list your complete system specifications.

    Updated to latest BIOS.
    Still Code 53 -> without RAMs installed.

    Complete Specs:
    Rampage V Extreme/3.1
    i7 6850K
    4x16GB Corsair Dominator 3200MHz (not installed atm.)
    2x 980Ti SLI (only 1 installed atm)
    3 hdd / 1 ssd
    MaxRevo 1200 Watt
    8-pin ATX Power connected
    4-pin ATX empty

    reseated CPU, still Code 53.

    Try one stick at a time is my advice. See if it is a faulty mem stick.

    Also you can do a MemCheck (see user manual for how) to ensure your memory is being seen.

    If you get the same code without RAM then it is logical that your RAM isn't being seen, which is why I suggested one stick at a time to see if it is dead ram or possibly a dead slot.

    if you don't have any Ram installed on the board, your gonna get that Q code. install your Ram and try again!

    So i tried 2 different rams on A1 -> Code 53
    Tried 2 different on B1 -> Code 53
    First try on C1 -> Succes!!! YEAH!
    Inserted a second Ram on D1 -> worked aswell
    now installed all 4 Rams - suddenly also working

    i dont know why but everything is working now.
    very strange but i accept it

    Do you have another set of ram to try on that board? That will tell you whether it's the board or the ram. After that I would RMA whichever is bad.
