    Here you are Mr. Kindness:

Asmedia ASM-104x/107x Drivers Version 1.16.36.1 WHQL

Intel Chipset Device Software Version 10.1.1.33 WHQL

Intel Management Engine Interface (MEI) Version 11.5.0.1015 WHQL

FYI there are three updates listed 08/02 on the Asus support page, all the above are newest and I can garantee they are stable.

Next time you should try to not be a jerk, thanks.

I'd think more than twice about installing drivers from a 3rd party site.

That's great that you don't see any problems, and if you continue not to see any problems, that's even better! However, from a practical perspective, especially when you are dealing with a piece of hardware that has so many sub-components and related drivers, it is not even a discussion that the best practice is to get the drivers directly from the manufacturer's official source. In your example, you BEST case scenario is that nothing goes wrong. That's best case. You don't gain anything beyond a version number (if that). Even if nothing goes wrong right now, you are adding an extra variable(s) to the mix when and if something goes wrong in the future. If you ever end up having to work with tech support, or trying to RMA a component, and a driver versioning question pops up, it complicates things.

All I am saying is, if you do download drivers from somewhere else other than the official site, and it works for you, that is fantastic and we all wish you nothing but continued success, but please, PLEASE don't go about suggesting it as a better alternative solution to official drivers. It's simply not a debate. Just because it works in no way makes it a better solution.

Clock speed for memory with xmp enable is clocked correctly now..it was lower with older bios and now is sitting where it should be frequency wise.

No, what's dangerous is your way of thinking, "out of sight, out of mind"

There's a saying in Swedish (probably Global) "Många bäckar små" a poor mans translation would be, many small lakes becomes a river. In other words, just because this "error" this "ghost device" might do no direct harm. If it, and other issues goes ignored because your way of thinking, in the end. We end up with a huge problem that nobody knows the case for...

if ASUS would post a proper Changelog, somebody would have figure out already whats the deal with this "ghost device"
