My XMP profiles don't work anymore (2667) after the update, endless reboot cycle with q code 41 and RAM light followed by CPU light (red). Wtf?

For people with 1080 /1070 SLI GPU setups there is a problem with windows lagging after exiting games.

    https://forums.geforce.com/default/t...ting-a-game/1/

I wonder if this bios update would help with that particular issue
    CPU - i7-6700k 4.7GHz
    MOBO -Asus Maximus VIII Hero
    RAM - 32GB G.Skill TRIDENTZ RGB DDR4//3600 MHz

Exclamation Bios 1902 - XMP Broken

Reverted back to 1701, and XMP began working again without issue.

    Just my experience. YMMV
Exactly the same here. This bios totally screws XMP for my 2400Mhz ram. It would not even post, getting Post Code 32. I had to press "Mem OK", then it posted, and forced 2133Mhz.

I have Asus Maximus VIII Gene motherboard and updated from 1701 to 1902 but the problem I have still exists where it won't let me enter anything above 75 in the upper temperature for the fans in the BIOS as it gives me invalid input range, can someone check this and confirm whether this is just me or a bug?

Currently I'm on BIOS 1701.

*Update It looks like Windows has already installed the latest MEI: V11.0.5.1189 for me
    Attachment 58687

Looks like I'm still on the older Chipset Version though V10.1.1.7 with the update being to Intel_Chipset_V10.1.1.27

    Attachment 58688

I wish they would explain what these updates are for
In my case with all new W10 updates that came, the MEI consumer V11051189 and the chipset V101127 i install it manualy. I have no idea why did not came with the update. Even that i can not control the rad fans from the CPU OP socket and the Case FAn 3 in PWM. channel 2 and 4 are fine. Some weird stuff is going on.

*EXACTLY* the same issue. Down to the same q-code 41 before rebooting.

All previous BIOS versions (back to stable 1701 right now) enable XMP correctly and without error.

Happen to have G-Skill Ripjaw V 2400 RAM (Or other variant of Ripjaw V)?

At least I know I'm not alone, here. :P
Thanks for the feedback. Mine would suddenly loop after a q-code 41 error. MemOK press, or even letting it loop for 4 times caused it to set to 2133 again, where it would successfully post.

I have G-Skill Ripjaw V 2400 RAM - So I'm curious since other people can use XMP with 1902 just fine, if the common ground is RAM brand/type.

Again, going back to 1701 resolved the issue for me, but there's something definitely afoot here.

I am running ripjaw V 3200 on my impact VIII. XMP works fine for me so far on bios 1902. Only issue is the unknown device in device manager on windows 10.

Great feedback, GotKevlar - thanks for letting us know.
Seems 3200 is good to go, and doesn't present any issues with XMP.

I suppose at this point, I'm curious of the brand/speed of people who *are* having an issue be consolidated and figured out.
