ASUS ignores his users
I don't understand why nobody from ASUS is able to responds to this subject. I think many more are affected which not here in discussion and not for everyone is it possible to revert to an older version.
My ASUS Ranger III was my last asus board. I had never so much trouble with a mainboard like this before. Support needs days to response and some problems are solved after month... I have with an expensive board more problems than before with all low price boards.

Sonic Studio won't open
When I first started using this board several months ago, I noticed an odd reverb effect on everything. After some searching, I found that the reverb effect in Sonic Studio had defaulted to on.
Once I had turned this off, everything was great, until this Windows 10 Update. Now that reverb setting has turned back on, and with Sonic Studio unable to open, I can't turn it off.
I use this computer for video editing and video production and having an added reverb effect constantly makes it extremely difficult to do my job. I really need a solution to this problem, as soon as possible.

There's a fix to this reverb, I had it too, it's within a windows setting but I forget which..just search online.
I do remember that you need to open realtek sound manager and make sure you're not on a 7.1 or 5.1 by default if you're only running a 2 speaker setup. By default it will be at 7.1Last edited by xPepi; 08-18-2016 at 12:37 PM.

I just did a clean install with new MS ISO with build 1607x already included.
I can confirm that using the new ASUS drivers for VIII Hero DO NOT WORK! Sonic Studio doesn't open. So I had to use the older drivers as per my earlier posts.
Not sure how you guys got it to work with latest drivers after clean install...but ASUS seriously please...let's go and fix this?

I've already explained how I got it to work. DO NOT install any drivers, or anything, from the ASUS package (apart from SSII, which you do after installing latest drivers from here: http://www.tenforums.com/drivers-har...r-version.html)
One updates to the above drivers manually via device manager, after fresh installation, then runs the SSII setup .exe (as Admin) from the ASUS package, and installs this after updating drivers. Nothing else from ASUS package should be installed, nor should Windows be allowed to update the sound drivers either.
If you follow this, then SSII will open properly and function.
