Honestly at this point I would be much happier if the audio on my Maximus VIII Hero came with stock realtek drivers without this "Supreme FX" Sonic suite garbage. Not only is it a mediocre quality software that cannot even be used when running up-to-date OS & driver... it also causes issues with mouse lag/skipping under high CPU load. At least with my high pooling rate mouse. Just try running realbench stress test and move your mouse around with and without sonic suite running in the background. I ended up just using the the realtek driver that gets intalled by windows update. Can't run sonic suite anyway, but this way my mouse at least works normally. Too bad there is no getting rid of the stupid ROG "Supreme FX" skin in the realtek audio manager.

Seem to be a general issue with the Asus software. I like the board HW wise. The UEFI features are nice, though the stability and quality of it could be improved. The quality of the bundled software however is just total garbage. And in the case of Realtek driver, there is not even a way to "opt out", no matter where you get your realtek driver from.

I also liked the old style of Realtek drivers, everything embedded into one piece of software and good amount of settings to work with.

My ROCCAT drivers stopped working with either the new Windows update or SS...not sure which, haven't reinstalled the ROCCAT drivers since my last clean install...

I couldn't agree more. I asked for this over 8 months a go. As always with Asus, it was ignored entirely. I think they're the only ones who believe their software is well written - it's worse than Corsair's 'Link' software.

And I say that as a developer (python).

    Does it work for you?

    Cool

Okay, I have a new Link:

    http://www.file-upload.net/download-...k7904.rar.html

    1. uninstall the old driver! There is no AsusSetup in the rar-Archive. I have used the "old" AsusSetup from the last driver-package to uninstall while disabled Internet-connection, so Windows cant install driver by its own. After the windows-restart cancel the Installer.
    2. install the Realtek Driver from the file-upload download
    3. install SonicStudio from the file-upload download (open the setup as Admin)

For me SonicStudio is working now.

    I think its all beta!

    Please excuse my poor English

For those of you that had the previous versions working fine, this new version also works fine. Sometimes when they fix something for customer "A" "B" and "C" they break it for others. All good with this if/when it becomes official.
