Yes, old drivers work. The newer ones do not. And that's the problem.

When I'm trying to reinstall realtek drivers I'm stucking in restart loop. Assus support should do something with new drivers. It's simply pathetic.

    Easy enough to fix guys

Install drivers from CD or motherboard site. Make sure SSII is also installed and working, if not, install manually from folder within the driver package.

Download latest realtek driver set from below:

    http://www.tenforums.com/drivers-har...r-version.html

Extract this set, but DO NOT run setup or install!

Go to Device manager and right click on Realtek High Definintion Audio, under Sound, video and game controllers. Choose 'update driver software', then option 'browse my computer for driver software'.

Select the folder you extracted latest driver set to, and let it update drivers. Voila! You now have latest drivers and SSII should still work fine

All good here on 1607 and Hero Alpha board.
