Trident Z F43400gtz

Looking for a bit of advice as I'm new to overclocking. I can't get the xmp profile to boot with the Trident Z F43400gtz kit I have on bios 1902. It keeps showing error code 55 (memory not installed error). I have no other over clocks as I'm new to this and was wondering if anyone could help, motherboard is a Maximus VIII Formula. Thanks

Hi Swifty79

Welcome to the ROG forum.

On the extreme tweaker tab try raising these two voltages.

CPU VCCIO voltage 1.20v - 1.25v
CPU System Agent voltage 1.20v - 1.25v

You can also try setting your ram manually instead of using X.M.P.

Followed that and everything is running hunky dory both at 1.15v and I did a quick Real Bench stress test as it only needs to be game stable and it passed. CPU is now overclocked to 4.5ghz and the ram is running at 3400mhz. Thanks for the assist.

EDIT: Won't shut down, had to hold the power button and won't cold boot. Throws up the error code 55 again. Oh well back to the drawing board!

EDIT 2: Stable at 4.6ghz with the ram at 3200mhz. Shuts down and cold boots so that will do me.

All right this sounds good. 🙂

If code 55 comes back try upping those two voltages a little more.
