Worth to upgrade rog20 from 97 to 1070 graphics card?

Dear all pros,

Currently I'm using rog20 with 970 graphics card.
Do you think is worth to upgrade to 1070 ?

Depends what you are looking to gain from it, what games you play also. Personally, I try to wait every 2 series before buying, that way I can justify the cost a bit more. If you spend about $300-$400 each time, wouldn't you rather a bigger gain? That's just my opinion, and I'm sure you'll get plenty differing ones.

might be worth to try and see the gtx 970 and get the gtx 1070 which offers twice the fps and cheap card to buy also

My concern is my 2 years warranty will be void if i upgrade it on my rog20 .

It worth. 1070 is the best card for 2k resolution. 2 times faster than 970, great overclock potential. 2 weeks ago i upgraded my g20 (970 to 1070)

yeah even upgrading to a gtx 1060 is still better then the gtx 970 as you get more vram (6gigs) and you get 2k or 4k gameplay with some good fps

I was thinking about this too. Imho it's not worth it unless getting a 1080. Demos I've seen playing what I play, battlefield 4, my 970 with a core over clock of +150 and memory +400 I am hitting ~110-144fps on 1080p ultra, while a 1070 seems to maybe outperform just a bit more. To me I'd love a water cooled 1080 but the prices are insane so I'll wait to for 1170 or 1180. All depends on what you play and your monitor of course.
