Then you will need a few items. 1 x 6pin to 6pin & 8pin to 8pin power cables, 1 x 180 watts power brick, 1 x gtx 1060. you should have the right angle riser card which plugs into your pci-e line on the motherboard, what is your spec of your pc Seany?

thanks for your help, i have the i5 gtx750 3.2ghz 8g rog g20, got it last year, can feel it slowing down a bit so i figured id go ahead and replace that 750, i bought the 180 supply

this is the 180 supply i got - http://www.asus.com/us/Notebooks-Accessory/180W_G_Series_NB_Adapter_N180W02/

ive checked the forums and it seems the one needed is 19v - 9.5 A, mine is 19.5v - 9.23 directly from the asus site itself.

also, i found 6 pin to 8 pin only, cant find any 6 pin to 6 pins, is it ok if i got ahead and just by the 6 to 8? another thing, is 4 inches long enough for the connectors?

bump

Here is the 6-pin to 6-pin that I recently ordered, and it worked perfectly: http://www.ebay.com/itm/331925843634

The guy who is doing the installation for the gtx 1060 says I need one male 6pin connector. Does that mean a male to male connection? Or male to female connection? Thanks

male to male, and a single 6pin to 6pin will do the job, it don't matter that you don't use the second power port

That's close enough and not something I'd worry about.

Hi, inside the g20 u will have two connectors.(if u will have version with 970 or 980) 6 and 8 pin. Just install 1060 in pci slot, connect 6 pin and that's it.
