How to Enable XMP on ASUS Maximus VIII Formula?

Hello,

I'm having some issues with my RAM. It's reading as 1506 when it should be 3600. I cannot find the option in the BIOS to enable XMP. Could someone point me in the right direction please?

Thanks!

Change Ai Overclock Tuner from Auto to XMP. A new option will appear right below it allowing you to select the XMP profile thta you wish to apply.

Hello,

thanks for your reply. I've done what you said, however Speccy is still not reading my RAM correctly. I've attached a link for you to see what I have

Under XMP I only have one profile to choose from. If I choose manual, then it gives me BCLK Frequency.

Download and run CPU-Z. Look in the Memory tab under DRAM Frequency. If you see 1800MHz, then your RAM is indeed running at 3600MHz.

Cool, I'll give that a try. Is there a reason as to why it would say 1800 rather than what I'm trying to get it as though? Is it just a software limitation? Should I be using a different program than Speccy?

Thank you for your persistence in assisting me with this issue.

DDR = double data rate

So 1800MHz x 2 = 3600MHz
