Yeah, updated to 2001, cleared CMOS, loaded optimized defaults, setup some of my UEFI settings and booted into windows. The unknown device was still there. So then I uninstalled it in device manager and rebooted into UEFI again to finish some details of my setup (like I mentioned, some USB settings, Q-fan etc.) and once I booted again into windows the unknown device was gone. And it still is gone now several reboots later.

Updated 1902 to 2001 right after it was published. Seems to be working fine, no problems at all. Faster boot than 1902 and no more unknown device in device manager.

Updated shortly after it's release, no issues to report.

So far very stable and slightly faster boot time versus previous releases.

I tried this but still had the error 41

After several hours testing this new 2001 here's what I've seen:

-After flashing 2001, XMP on my RAM is still screwed. On this version, as oposed to 1902, it boots without XMP by itself after flashing, but, whenever I enable XMP again, system won't boot, and i have to reset back again.

Then I have to modify settings like this:

1-Force memo @2400Mhz, no XMP. This is the setting I'm using right now. It works right, no problems so far. Timmings are a bit looser than on XMP preset, but It works.

    So, to sum things up:

XMP detection is still broken for me. For some of you it may work, and for some others like me it will totally break the system. What is funny, is that I've got a 2400Mhz DDR4 Kingston HyperMax CL15 memory. These are listed into the "MAXIMUS VIII HERO Memory Report" as fully compatible. So ASUS, what's going on here?

*Note: For any of you thinking I'm having a RAM HW problem, don't worry. I've tested Memtest on 1701 bios, and several video encoding benchmarks and it is fine. It only happens on 1902 and 2001, so my HW is correct.

Please ASUS, check this problem ASAP once for all.
