    Asus Z170 Maximus 8 Hero Gaming (M.2 Key Type?)

    Can anybody tell me what the Key-type for the M.2 slot on the Asus Z170 Maximus 8 Hero Gaming Motherboard is?

    I am hoping type M!

    In the manual or specs online state the following
    1 x M.2 Socket 3 with M Key, type 2242/2260/2280/22110 storage devices support (PCIE 3.0 x4 and SATA Modes)*
    * When the M.2 Socket 3 is operating in SATA mode, SATA port 1 will be disabled.
