Oh I understood that much already, but I was asking specifically what "Additional Turbo Mode CPU Core Voltage" does. Like I said, adjusting it didn't seem to do anything or at least nothing I noticed.
Anyway, your suggestion of trying 0.060 and then additional increments of 0.010 at a time until failure sounds perfect and that will be the first thing I try tomorrow morning.

Oh and Nate, since me and Kenrou posted are Heaven benches just for the heck of it, you should throw yours in too. :P

Great score! I actually prefer the Valley 1 and think it's prettier to look at, but I refer to the Heaven 1 more because it seems to be more popular.

I'll be leaving for the day very soon, but decided to run RealBench really quick 1st with the offset at -0.050 (will try -0.060 and even lower tomorrow).

Here are the results: 30 minute run using up to 16gb of ram passed, resulting in 5 hash matches with a max core temp of 68c and max vcore of 1.232

Heaven is a much more intensive stress test in my experience, and it has 2 very specific points that will tell me if the overclock is unstable or not, the dragon statue and the windmill panoramic at the end, i could do Valley all day long and fail those on the 1st run.

Yeah I understand the technical merits of Heaven vs Valley for the sake of gauging stability, but I simply enjoy watching Valley more.
Still confused about some of these bios settings guys. Additional Turbo Mode CPU Core Voltage literally doesn't seem to do anything to affect the max that the vcore can potentially hit and offset, both on it's on and in conjunction with Additional, don't seem to impact it either. Since 1.200 was unstable at stock, I would think it's possible that even a tiny bump could be enough to stabilize it. I'd like to see vcore topping out at 1.216 and be stable, but no matter the values entered for additional and offset, max still hits 1.232. Should I perhaps try a lower or a higher LLC? I was at 4 and tried 5, but that didn't seem to have an affect.

Yeah you can try LLC to 1 or 2 and see if that has an effect on lowering the voltage.

Have you tried a negative offset of -0.020v?

Reconfigured my bios settings regarding voltages, from scratch. In other words, I loaded optimized defaults and entered everything again, but with some minor changes.
After reading Chino's OC guide, I saw that you can manually set a voltage before setting adaptive mode, saving that voltage and then rebooting into the bios and setting adaptive and offset after which seemed to change the end result slightly although I'm not sure why.
1st I enabled XMP and manually set vcore to 1.225, then saved and rebooted. Upon re-entering the bios I enabled adaptive mode, set additional turbo mode voltage to 1.225, offset voltage to -0.065 and LLC to 5. I found this gave good results.

I ran Prime 28.9 blend for 8+ hours and while the vcore did spike to 1.232 still, the average reported by HWinfo64 was much lower at 1.217 and the max temp hit 76c. Now that I have what I believe is a very stable starting point I can begin to OC.
I may still want to wait a couple days though because we are having perhaps the hottest week of the year here in Southern California. Was 100 the last 2 days and will be nearly that hot tomorrow too.

Further issues not directly related to what I started this thread for have halted my progress and since this thread is already way too long, I'll end it here and am posting this to update and for closure. I'll report OC'ing progress at a later date in a community thread most likely and will start a new thread to delve into the other issue I wanna explore further.
Many thanks again for all your help and support guys!

No need to reply btw, I'm sure I'll see you guys around the forums anyway and this thread is so long I figure it's time to let it rest.
