Kraken x31 and VIII Ranger BIOS settings?

Hi,

The Kraken was silent and then I installed the Kraken CAM software which then made a loud rattling noise. I've fixed that by in the BIOS turning off the QFan control.

I now hear more of a quiet vibration noise.

What settings do you have configured to make it silent?

Hi Kevin,

I have same configuration and I don't use QFan control either.
I have 2 x 200mm fans that supply air into the case and 2 x 140mm fans that exhaust air from case, beside Kraken x31 fan.
I never felt the need to control fans via QFan - basically they can handle ventilation during the whole year.
I have CAM installed as well and I just set the curve of response in Kraken section.
Basically it give you how fan and pump of your Kraken X31 will react to temperature load of your CPU.
If you want a silent running choose a predefined profile or make one yourself.
