Don't know without having your system here in front of me. What I can say is that relays click when they latch. That much is normal.

I know it is, but it's also a bit of a coincidence that the bios and boot up process black screen freezes until this relay stops clicking ? so I would say it is pausing the boot process unnecessarily, In fact if someone else could also test this.

Was just messing around with multiple monitors and was running Valley on the secondary one, but just windowed. While it was running, there were at least 3 or 4 random clicks in 15 minutes while running it. On the other monitor I was just web browsing and not listening to music or streaming anything so the only audio was from the Valley bench. I also did not plug or unplug any audio devices. There's no way this is normal unless that relay is ultra sensitive and other random discharges are causing it to engage or disengage.

As earlier said mine click or pops once or twice when booting and i dont see any fault in this when the Asus board is loaded with fun hardware/software.
I would have been worried if it was a Acer board.

Yes I saw that, but as I said, in my case it is not limited to booting and will sometimes click at other seemingly random times. I guess I'm not gonna get a solid answer on whether people think this is normal or something to worry about so I either have to rma the board and hope the next does not exhibit this behavior or keep the board and hope for the best.

Yeah i saw that but if you think something is wrong and cant reach any solutions to the problem if its not to noisy with these clicks and pops just run it or change to another board if you have the possibility.

Hi, I'm wondering if what i'm hearing is coming from same onboard audio...
Mine makes more of rattling noise than clicking/pop
it does it all the time, gaming or even something as simple as loading webpage or scrolling up and down.

    Same here...

Its rattling or crackling... whatever, just when i move the volume slider on desktop bar, in games, just after the any sound is finish playing etc.
    Same in browsers etc...

No cure for that it seems. I just ordered Strix Soar, with hope that it finally resolves the problem, if not then I am done with Asus.

Update: Same thing with Asus Strix Soar unfortunately. Just when the sound starts there is a pop sound, also when suddenly closing media file with playing content. I also hear some electrical noised from gpu or cpu.
Actually, there is the same NEC De-pop installed on the Strix card. Could that be the cause for this ?

I honestly don't like this relay being present on the board and can't recall being unhappy with previous boards that didn't have it. If these noises are simply a symptom of product defect and if a properly functioning relay isn't this noisy, then normally I would just rma, but thankfully, the issue for me is pretty minor honestly.
