Safe to delete Recovery folder on disk C with big file usmt.ppkg ?

Do anybody have folder C:\Recovery\Customizations with big file usmt.ppkg? Is it safe to delete it>

Don't know if this will help, but don't see a recovery folder on the C: drive of our G752VT test unit unless the box to 'hide protected operating system files' is unchecked.

Also, if you haven't searched the internet, you'll find other customers with other brands of computers running Windows also see this file, so you may be able to find more information there, but doesn't sound like a good idea to delete it from what little I know about it.

this is an old forum but ill reply anyway   the usmt.ppkg is located in C:\Recovery\Customizations which is a hidden folder.. as far as deleting it not sure whatll happen but i know the pc makers put it there when they created the pc or laptop... i think it has to to with restoring your machine to factory condition has windows recovery get information from various sources when it goes thru the recovery process
