I am having trouble with the audio becoming raspy and scratchy sounding. Also the audio and video will go in and out of sync.

There is a sticky about RAMCACHE creating problems but I do not use it because I do not have any SSD drives installed.

I have Bios 1601. It really scares me to update the Bios to the newest version. Which method of updating is the most reliable?

BIOS update not a big deal. BIOS file on USB, use EZFLASH in the UEFI. It will reset any saved settings so write them down if you can't recall. That said, I have not seen widespread posts of raspy or scratchy audio nor have experienced it myself. I would check software, connections, use latest driver or default windows drivers and see if there is an impact.

Thank You for all the info.

I updated my WiFi driver and it fixed most of my problem. Even the one from playing audio from my hard drive.

After I finish the project I am doing I will update the Bios next and will report here.
