Asus ROG Strix RX 480 OC 8GB Overclocking

Has anybody here overclocked their RX 480 yet? I am curious as to what safe settings are. Currently I have 2 in crossfire.

1 is running 1400MHz gpu clock, 1068mV gpu voltage, 4188MHz mem clock, fan variable, power target 150.

2 is running 1400MHz gpu clock, 1131mV gpu voltage, 4188MHz mem clock, fan variable, power target 150.

Both cards seem very stable. i am using GPU Tweak II to overclock. This is my first time overclocking and I don't want to damage my hardware.

Here is my entire build:

The RX 480 is voltage locked so it's pretty hard to damage anything. And since you have a 1200W PSU, you don't need to worry too much about power consumption. Just overclock them as highest they can do while maintaining reasonable temperatures.

I'd say you've got some decent clocking cards there  . The voltage is pretty low for the OC when compared to some posts I've seen floating around on other forums 😉 .

my only problem with my RX480 strix is that no matter what my card throttles once it reaches 65-70C

if i raise the fan manually it works fine but no temperture target changes in various OC Software seem to help

luckily it doesnt happen in game because card doesnt get nearly as hot.
