I agree. Color banding is verry noticeable, no matter what you do. This 100%

372.90 here [edit: Just tried latest drivers no difference]

Suspect this is a monitor problem not a graphics card problem.

The main problem is in verry noticeable color banding. Every monitor have it, but on PG248Q is verry noticeable. How it can be fixed? The setting in drivers can't help for sure. If content is great, like 1080p movies and games like Crysis 3, Ethan Carter then everything is great. If content is pure, like low quality compressed images, some effects in games, then you see all those pixels and ugly color shift.

The banding is also noticeable when you're playing the new Skyrim SE for example. I have disabled the godrays and the fog because they look horrible on this monitor. The fog (even in the main menu) looks like someone spilled some grey paint over my screen. Also the lights/torches have circles around them.

Idk anymore, the quality of all the colours on this monitor are great and then you get this mess on your screen.

    Is it the monitor?
    Do the drivers have problems?
    Is our videocard broken?

Banding verry noticeable in games where texture quality is bad.
In Doom 4, Crysis 3, Ethan Carter is fine. But maybe firmware need some tweak.

really hoping more people come out of the wood work to report problems so we can get this fixed.

Is this an issue just with our monitors (otherwise wouldn't everyone be complaining?)

I have logged a ticket with Asus support so I will see what they say.

Today i played Diablo 3. The game is looking great! No banding. The only problem is quality of content. Some textures in games have bad quality, like fog, sky etc and the others textures have big resolution like rocks. So there is no problem with monitor.

Doom 4, Crysis 3, Ethan Carter, Diablo 3 is looking fine on PG248Q

After returning home from work I turned on my PC today and the monitor just reset itself back to factory settings.. So I put everything back to the settings like the way it was before but Im getting a much worse picture now.. Videos are awful, the white fog is back and yeah.. Im thinking about just RMAing the monitor and hope they find something.
