As of about a month ago my laptop started crashing on a few games (haven't gamed much on my PC so I don't know how long it's been) did some trouble shooting and watching GPU/CPU temps and noticed as the temp reached 90C the fans still stayed on low speed. I found with Notebook Fan Tool I can force the CPU fan speed up but is there something I can check to figure out why I'm having this problem in the first place?

One thing to check is are you using the latest BIOS, I'm pretty sure that Fan profiles are control by the UEFI/BIOS You won't find any setting for fan speed anywhere. If your on the latest UEFI/BIOS the perhaps a Re Flash might get them going for you. I assume they are clean and not blanked in with old dust.

I can't update from 201 to 209 due to having a bad battery. Fan's are clean though and I get good airflow when blowing duster up through the vents and out the back vents.
