From what I've been reading, the Windows 10 Anniversary update really messed up a lot of webcams.
Last Sunday, my webcam wasn't working so after googling and finding a lot of people having the same problems, I did the regedit fix that was suggested from several people. Sure enough, I did that restarted, and the webcam worked and Skyped for about an hour and a half.
Yesterday though, when I tried using it, Skype would not detect it. so trying several things after work tonight. and after a chat with windows support I ran troubleshoting, restarted it and checking the camera app, I had it flash on and I closed it, but it wouldn't work again.
Looking in the device manager under the Sound, video and game controllers it just lists audio stuff. I looked through everything else and I can't see the webcam listed.
Can anyone help me?
Edit - The Camera app has it working and Skype Preview but not classic Skype
Not sure if it will stay working after I shut down. But I'll just figure that out later?
