Cable / Adapter combination for Maximum Performance (VG248QE / G752VT-DH2).

Hello again ROG Forum, once again i come to the expanse of knowledge here in search of an answer.

I recently bought the Asus VG248QE Desktop Monitor (https://www.asus.com/us/Monitors/VG248QE/), and am the owner of the Asus G752VT-DH7 Gaming Laptop (http://store.asus.com/us/item/201510AM090006012).

The Monitor itself has an HDMI port, a DVI port, and a Displayport. The Laptop has and HDMI Port, Thunderbolt 2, and Thunderbolt 3. Among all the cables and adapters and this and that i've researched into getting the absolute most out of my Laptop and Monitor Combination, i kindly ask now for a simple answer:

What combination of Thunderbolt 3 Cable, Adapter, or anything else do i need to obtain to connect my Laptop (Via Thunderbolt 3), to my single Monitor (Via DVI or Displayport) to get the absolute most out of both of these products?

I welcome any info on this, and appreciate it in advance.

Great question!

You will need to buy an mDP-to-DP (Mini DisplayPort to DisplayPort) cable like this one here to be able to use 144Hz @ 1080p. I currently use this exact one except in a 10' cable for my G752VS to my PG348Q @ 100Hz.

Thank you for the response! The thing is, I already do have a Cable just like that one that allows me to connect the Thunderbolt 2 (Mini Displayport) to the Regular Sized Displayport of the monitor. What I don't know how most efficiently to obtain is a connection between the Thunderbolt 3 to the Regular Sized Displayport / DVI.
