Question Asus Rampage V Edition 10 Q code confusion

    Hey there forum,

Everytime I get home from work and turn on my comp, It seems to boot up relatively quick and without issues but It also seems to be a 50/50% split on which Q code I get:

    Qcode: AA
    vs
    Qcode: 40

I can't tell or find any operattional differences between when the PC starts with either Q Code and the manual is not that clear as to they're meaning.

    Hi SimondsUnchaind

Code 40 means resume from the S4 sleep state, you can however get rid of code 40 if you don't want it.

Go to Power Options, click "choose what the power buttons do" then uncheck "Turn on fast startup (recommended)" and click apply.

It shouldn't make a difference in your boot or shutdown time.

Ok awesome. I'll also try turning that "Fast Mode" off tonight.

    Thanks both for the reply

Very helpful post! Fast Mode was turned on for me, and I've seen that Code 40 a few times. I had no idea! Love this forum.
