Strix X99 BIOS Changes

Iyren

Hello All,
There have been quite a few changes to the Strix X99 Bios as of late, however the detail on the bios changes seem to be very limited. Is it possible to find more detailed change logs for BIOS releases? Personally I had a 6800K stop working which required RMA replacement from intel. It looks like quite a few people in the forums have had the same problem as well.

I can't find any release notes on the BIOS updates.

agree, just wonder whether i should upgrade the bios

I'd hold off the latest update. I updated my bios last night and my rig has been
experiencing random stuttering even when just browsing.

I have random shutdowns for no reason. I can play 4 hours at the witcher 3 and I have no problems and there is the pc in idle on the windows 10 desktop and it just turns off and on. I have tried to deactivate the Asus Anti Surge bios parameter and it is the same. My power supply works well on another computer and is a seasonic gold 1050w modular. PowerOff/starts have no pattern are totally random. I think it could be the RAM or the BIOS but I've been in trouble for more than a month and I'm desperate.

My RAM is Gskill 4x8GB CL16-18-18-38 (at 2666 14-14-14-24-1T 1,37v) MemTest 600% passed without problems.

I have 1401 bios since yesterday, before 1201 with same errors. My first BIOS was 0106 beta (no random shutdows that i remeber).

If your system is stable with your current BIOS, stick with that revision. Do not update unless you're facing an issue that a newer revision fixes or if there's a certain functionality that you need.

I thought I would mention, I recently had to downgrade from the 1401 bios back to the 1301 since it caused severe instability in my system. I'm probably going to avoid upgrading again until I see some solid evidence the new bios does anything better.

Hello guys, is there anybody from ASUS here that can confirm if they will release a new BIOS soon for X99 strix?

Due the quantity of new bios I believe there is something very wrong with this mobo, it's disturbing.
