Is the Asus GL552VW Able to run Windows 8.1?

I own an Asus ROG GL552VW With 16 GB DDR4, 960M 4GB, 2.6 GHZ I7 6700HQ. I do not like Windows 10, is this laptop capable of running Windows 8.1 with all drivers working? Thank you.

Hi there! I had this same question so i tried it out for myself... I have found out that this laptop CANNOT run Windows 8.1... The touchpad drivers will not install correctly, and it will not make a boot option for the drive you are installing to (for me, at least)! You have the i7-6700HQ, 16GB DDR4 2133MHz, 128GB SanDisk m.2 SATA drive + 1TB HGST 7200RPM Spinning drive, and the 4GB 960M, correct? I have this exact same laptop, so i just clean installed Windows 10. It automatically installed all the necessary drivers.. I recommend sticking with Windows 10, and if you would like, find a Windows 7 Start menu application. Thanks!
