Still far from perfect. Frametimes are all over the place. I'm running out of ideas really. You said you tried a clean windows install, and it should work perfectly out of the box like that.*

I can do clean install just to totally get that out of the equation.
I'm busy, so I would need a nice block of time for that, If I do it, I'll do it in the future, I'll report back when I do it.

I have emails going to Nvidia, ASUS, and RealTek.
I'm in communication with them about not only me, but many others experiencing the same issue and frustration.

Thank you, I'll BF4 later today.

CS GO helped a person playing the game with me of the problem

SO I was playing CS GO today, some guy asked about everyone's Htz, cause his friend looks like his lagging in game.
Another guy was I **** I got this expensive powerful graphics card and it's acting up.
I asked him "are you throttling?"
He said "I don't know what that is" He said "I'll be playing and the my graphics card would act up all of a sudden"
I told him there is a conflict with RealTek AND Nvidia HD audio drivers conflicting, to not install the Nvidai HD audio drivers from G-force experience.

It's amazing that this problems going on for 6 years now and not resolved, it not an isolated issue, EVERYONE installs RealTek by default to get your computer up, and Almost everyone with an Nvidia card installs G-force experience.

    WOW

SO ASUS is talking to there engineers about this problem, and I recommended they make a FAQ for it, so people can remedy it if they experience it and come looking for answers to why there games are throttling.

My good deed for the day.

    Bf4

No real big issues, didn't feel any throttling.
My CPU was hot and the GPU was fine, guess I need to go 99% again.

This M.2 heatsink really performs well if you replace the thermal pad with a good thermal tape (i used 3M thermal tape).

on my samsung nvme 960 pro standard load(non stress test) on the controller chip (temperature 2 on hwinfo) is around 75C, after installing the heatsink it peaks at 60C. and the nand chip (temperature 1 on hwinfo) never went past 50C.

djbigbear, did you remove the sticker from the SSD? Or did you leave it to keep the warranty?

    Hi all,
I used my GL703VM a few months. I change Thermal Paste on CPU & GPU. A few weeks ago i changed also Thermal Pads and use Cooling Pad Coolermaster Notepal U3 Plus. I clean my ROG from dust once a month, but i still get problems with high temps.
When i use my notebook normally (firefox or Excell) i have 43-55°C. When i playing games (Cities: Skylines, House Flipper, GTAV, Euro Truck Simulator 2, FIFA 18) i have temps 88-95°C sometimes up to 100°C in FIFA or ETS2. Also i got low FPS as for this specs. In C:S i got 25-45FPS, in House Flipper its 40-60FPS, GTAV 40, ETS2 its 20-60FPS, FIFA 18 give me only 40FPS. I think it should be above 50FPS up to 120FPS (i got 120HZ screen) with this specification (I7-7700HQ 2,8GHz, 16GB RAM, GTX 1060 6GB).

Can anybody tell me what i have to do with my ROG to get more FPS, put temps down and make it quieter?
