Memory frequency issue.

I have an Crossblade Ranger motherboard I just installed. Bought it used and the install went fine once
I installed memory that was compatible with the motherboard. I purchased 2 x 4GB sticks of G. Skill
Trident X 2400MHz RAM. In the bios it lists the default frequency as 1333MHz. In CPUID it lists the
NB Frequency as 1799.6 MHz. Can someone explain why it is not reading at the 2400 MHz frequency?
I have a AMD A10-7870K APU and it is not overclocked. Even in CAM it reads the default frequency at
1333 MHz. I tried to change in in the bios to 2400 but nothing happens. It still sees the default at the
1333. MHz. Thanks.

Try going into your bios by pressing the F2 or Del key on boot. In your bios you should see a Memory Profile somwhere, change it to X.M.P. and it should change the frequency to the maximum supported frequency if you bought ram that's correctly supported by your motherboard and otherwise it should switch it in most cases correctly as well.
