Question VIII Hero and timings on Corsair DDR4-3200 CMU32GX4M2C3200C16

    Hi everyone,

I thought it might be best to start a new thread, coming out of this other one, but in short, I enabled XMP Profile in my Ezmode BIOS to get my Corsair DDR4 DIMMs up to their OC speed of 3200 Mhz-- two 16 Gb DIMMS (for a total of 32 Gb) inserted in Slots A2 and B2 on my VIII Hero -- and my system booted up fine into Windows 10 Pro 64-bit, but went to a blue screen of death within 5 minutes or so.

Disabling XMP, and going back to stock 2133 Mhz on the two 16 Gb sticks seems to be more stable, and no more BSODs. But the timings chosen by EzMode BIOS (F7) were 16-18-18-36-1.344V, and then the second time, 16-18-18-36-1.5V. Everything else is kept at stock and untouched.

How do I even go about solutioning this or debugging it? I'd love to get my DDR4 RAM clocked in at its rated OC speed of 3200 Mhz. I'd really appreciate tips, guidance, and recommendations on how you'd go about doing this.

Here's my build. Only thing installed right now is Win 10 Pro 64-bit, Intel Chipset Driver, and NVIdia GeForce Drivers (Graphics, 3D Vision Controller, and RealTek Audio).

    • Corsair Vengeance LED 32GB DDR4 3200 RAM - CMU32GX4M2C3200C16
