Succesfully upgraded ASUS ROG G20AJ memory to 16G and replaced GTX 770 to GTX 1060

Hi Folks,

With help of this forum and Welsh Gaming I succeed by one round to upgrade
my ASUS.

I doubled memory to 16G and replaced GTX 770 to GTX 1060.

Pictures:
- Starting point of operation
- GTX 770 versus GTX 1060, New architecture manages less than
half of power cables.
- 16 G successfully installed. Processor waiting new cooling paste
- GTX1060 fits nicely to metal case.
- OCCT shows low enough temperature in stress test after installation.
(64 celsius per core.)

Only issue slowing down recover was the operation that Win 10 made itself
autoupgrade and reboot round before NVIDIA Geforce experience installation
works. (It did result Runtime error if the PC was not booted once).

Now I have been playing a week without any problems. Same power blocks
and noice from machine very similar to earlier setup.

Very nice upgrade! Question tho, are you having any issues with the 1060? I installed a 1070 on my ROG and been having issues if it enters sleep mode, i have no idea if its due to the power units or Nvidia stuff.

have you gone in the power settings on windows and turn all sleep off, it plays hell with my main pc when the monitor is tuned off on sleep mode

Well...

I haven't had any problem with sleep modes. But PC core is never
going to sleep. Only display is allowed to go sleep after 15 minutes.

I have played hours and hours in new setup. The games have been
GTAV Online, R6: Siege and Dishonored 2. No problems with
two first one but Dishonored 2 has crashed so that Screen freezes
and then back on Win desktop. I believe this is more unmature game
code than 1060 problem. Anyway following situation and listening
the noise of fans.
