Asus ROG GL702VM HDMI stopped working after using it once

As the title suggest. I'm running an Asus ROG GL702VM with Windows 10 (64bit). Yesterday I could use my HDMI perfectly. Today I rebooted my laptop and the hdmi port does not recognise any screens nor does it show any audio devices for the screen. ( My screen has speakers). Someone suggested this could be a faulty port but I didn't even touch the port between yesterday and today. I did update nvidia drivers though.

Anyone has a solution?

edit: I reinstalled an older driver (375.95) while the screen was plugged in. It seems to work now.

These ports are functionless for external use until drivers are installed. My guess is your driver installation is the culprit. Reinstall or try a different package version.

Yeah, I've noticed some weird things happening with the latest drivers usually so I always keep setups to older drivers on my computer. Thanks though!
