    Hero VIII + 3101

Updated 3007 --> 3101. Everything seems to be working ok, no problems at all despite the fact that 3101 is quite clearly still beta.

After updating to the new bios, I have many gpu signal losses while I play.
In addition, when that happens, the fans of the motherboard are set to maximum power .... and I have no choice but to reset manually.

It had never occurred to me.

I have reset the board options to factory mode, I have formatted windows ... I no longer know what to do.
With the bios 3007 everything worked perfectly.
    I ask for help.
    Thank you very much

First format USB Stick and rename the BIOS file to "M8H.CAP". Make sure if you using the top left USB Port from the back of your computer. You can flash the bios only with this port. Remember to leave the .CAP file extension and don't forget to clear motherboard CMOS or load optimized defaults before flashing.

It's actually M8H.CAP for Maximus VIII Hero.

And as my father used to say "If everything else fails, read the manual." Refer to chapter 2.2 page 2-12 in the "User guide" book that came with your motherboard for detailed instructions.

haven't weeded through them but I'm fairly sure the only differences are the colors and as you stated the Etreme comes with the OC Panel and the assembly comes with the 5 1/2" bay audio which is actually a sound card in its own rights and the 10GB Ethernet *card that is far from mainstream. Actually easier to find. 10GB fiber router. The 1.3Gb wireless paired up with my AC5300 triband is plenty fast enough. For streaming and downloads. If I need to do a large transfer to my NAS I just put the files on a USB 3.0 then plug it into my NAS, log into it and initiate the transfer and walk away and leave it to do its thing.*

I downloaded the Extreme bios and will wait a bit, just wanted to make sure Inhad a copy in case it goes missing. *Not going to be flashing ATM anyhow. Second 960 Pro will be here Tuesday so I'm putting that in an ASUS M2 mini card on PCIE 4 and testing it out stand alone in the card first. Then clone my OS over to 2x1TB 850 evos in raid zero, then raid 0 the two M2s *to see how much of a DMI bottleneck I get with them just as drives and compare a few different stripe sizes. Once I settle on one I'm going to do a clean install of everything back on the M2s. I'm usually good with cloning to save trouble but when my BIOS freaked out when AI Suite took a crap a lot of things I've been finding one at a time flaked out as well. Graphics driver had to get wiped and redone, GPU tweak crapped, 3D marks had to get reinstalled my Aquaero controller started acting weird so I wiped everything, reset the controller and reinstalled their software and rebuilt the profiles etc and this is just the short list. Seems most everything I've tried after that fiasco has had issues. So pardon my disdain for AI Suite. Im convinced it's a conspiracy because I quit using the fan controller and bought the Aquaero and this PO'd AI Suite that then swore out *retribution on my machine and me! *I've had to do repair installs in the past from OCing but never this magnitude of the uber fail that required so much effort. With any luck everything will remain golden as I've pretty much found my ceilings and won't be using AI Suite again. *I do think I'll try out a 7700K when they are more readily available in the next month or so. I won't be going the Z270 route though as my next endeavor will be revolving around the skylake X and X299 chipset when it's released in Q2 or there abouts.*

    EDIT

I just went through all the drivers list and the Extreme Assembly page has been neglected severely. Every outdated driver that is the newest on the Assembly page is listed on the Extreme page, under newer drivers. In the case of the Intel chipset Im running two versions behind. I fired off a message to @Praz to see if he can offer a bit of direction. TS sent me a generic response that I should only use the drivers from the product page for the board Im using. With all of the latest drivers on the Assembly page matching the Extreme pages OLDER driver verbatim Im thinking the Assembly is being overlooked by whoever is responsible for uploading this stuff. The only difference I see is the Assembly does have an extra audio driver for the headphone amp and another for the GB ethernet but other than that and the color they look to be identical.
