Maximus VIII Formula Q code 7F (reserved for future ami dxe codes)
Hi ROGers
Iv'e been helping a friend with an issue who was getting a Qcode 19, 32 and CPU Red light. I advised him to first update his Bios to eliminate that possible problem.
His new Bios is now halting during post on 7F and I was wandering if anyone can shed some light on why.
Bios flash and update was successful and CMOS cleared. Checked for bent pins in the CPU socket and all OK.
Tested DIMMs with Memtest86 and all Modules are OK.
His specs:
PSU: EVGA Supernova 850 P2 80+ Platinum,
GPU: GTX 1080
MB: Maximus VIII Formula DDR4 ATX Motherboard
CPU: i7-6700K at 4.00 Ghz
DIMMs: G.Skill TridentZ series 32 GB (4x8GB) 3200Mhz P/N F4-3200C16Q-32GTZB
At the moment he can't get past Post cause of the 7F Qcode.
