Windows 7 ISO (legit) source?

So I'm getting ready to take the plunge and install Windows 10 on my G74SX, but as a safety net, I'm getting a bootable USB ready with Windows 7 so I can reinstall that if I don't like 10. I went to Microsoft for the ISO and punched in my product key, but it won't let me download the ISO from them because it's for "software preinstalled by a manufacturer".

So is there a legit source for a good Windows 7 ISO that I can create a bootable USB from?

As Chino says, don't enter the key code during installation, wait until after installed, and after driver installation.
Microsoft is making it a little difficult, after the above you will need to download several stand alone updates and install manually before Windows update will work
Latest version of IE, .net 4.6, latest update Agent, and maybe one or to other that I can't think of at the moment. Google Windows 7 update stuck, or unable to update Windows 7

Why not just make an Image of your C Drive, that way you won't have to reinstall all your software. You can just restore the image. there are several programs out there, I use Macrium Reflect Paid for but for just images they have a free version that work 100% every time. Be sure to Image the complete Disk/SSD not just any partitions image the entire SSD/Disk.

I was long overdue for a full reformat, so I wanted to start from a clean install. I'm up and running Windows 10 now and it seems alright, but I can't disable the damn touchpad!

Did you try updating/reinstalling the touchpad drivers? No issue with mine, Ill check tommorow to see what rev drivers its running and how I have it set up. Im not a touchpad person.

Yeah i updated the driver through Device Manager. For some reason running the executable in the driver package doesn't work. But that's all working good now and I'm working on ironing out the other bugs.
