ASUS released a new 1.02 (21.12.2016) bios updete for the 1070 ? Or is it just a repackaged previous micron ram update 1.01 (25.10.2016)?

If your ROG Strix 1070 has micron memory and you're overclocking it, it would be worthwhile to update the vbios.

Mine has the samsung memory so I didn't bother updating the vbios.
