I would be highly skeptical of two ram kits having RAM that failed. 2400 is the max guaranteed stability on these boards. I think there was some tweaking issues that could have gotten it to work.

I tried running the single stick I had problems with at 2400 and still would not boot. I also seriously doubt 2 kits had a bad stick like that, but I saw what I saw. No matter what I did with either kit, one stick would never be found during boot. The Gskill Kit I was using worked no problem after and since. I don't think I'm going to upgrade RAM again until I buy a new processor.

You won't score as high on the benchmark brag and swag with DDR4-2400. But I doubt you'll notice any loss of performance in your general usage or your gaming.
I agree with @Brighttail - that's a fine mobo and a high memory bin, there almost assuredly had to be one or several possible configurations which could make it all work together.
