Is it available for buy right now?
It's compatible with G752VY notebook?

How is the connection?

Thanks in advance.

I want to know whether it's possible with my G752VT. The XG Station 2 is not on general sale yet and the list of compatible laptops and tablets is very small. Any Thunderbolt 3 devices should work but may need a UEFI update first!?

+1 rep as I started this.
I only want to understand the compatibility list.

Thanks

Thanks

Asus have stated the list is not yet complete so more laptops should be added at some point. For me the laptops with GTX 9** GPUs should be what Asus concentrate on as these will be the ones in need of a GPU upgrade.

I think it is only compatible with laptops that have thunderbolt. All G752 as of the moment don't have thunderbolt. We have the usb 3.1 type C, but it is not thunderbolt.

Mine is Thunderbolt...... https://www.asus.com/uk/Notebooks/ROG-G752VT/ although it states 20Gbps I've seen other ASUS docs stating 40Gbps. I think the 20Gbps is a limitation of the passive cables that were the only ones available at the time.

I saw the same thing.
Of course this has thunderbolt.
And 20gbps.
My question is : one channel or thunderbolt two channels >> 2 x 20 = 40.

MY question is that exactly....

I would love getting the station.
But if the 40gbps is the problem i will go for others (not this brand) solutions).

This shows the G752VY as having a 40Gbit/s Thunderbolt Port.....

https://www.asus.com/ROG-Republic-Of-Gamers/ROG-G752VY/

whereas this shows it as having only 20Gbit/s....

Not according to this link https://www.asus.com/uk/support/FAQ/1031377/

I also have a G752VT and my USB type C port only has the SS 10 logo, not the thunderbolt logo.
If what you say is true, then well and good.
