Maximus IX Hero M.2 Fan Holder
Hello,
I recently had the m.2 fan holder printed for my Maximus IX Hero. I pulled the 3d file from https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/RO...O/3D-Printing/
and had a local 3d print shop print it off for me. I picked it up today, and of course it's 2 pieces, since there are 2 files that you download.
When looking at these files, I can see how to mount one of the pieces to the mobo, and I can see how to mount the fan to the other piece...what I don't understand, is how do you connect the two pieces together?

I ended up super gluing the two pieces together before mounting hte 40mm fan to the holder. Worked out well.
My advice if you have this part printed is to have it printed as one piece, not two and then take a small drill bit (1/16") and predrill a hole for the fan mount screw to go into.

You did the correct thing. These files come in multiple pieces for some reason, so there is some pre work to be done.
