Power management question.

Hello hello,
Running original Rampage V extreme, 5930K
I did a basic, mild Oc to 4.2 @1.180 V XMP enabled . Thats all I did.
(could probably lower Vcore a bit) Idles at 29-30 c. Temps max out at 58 c under Real Bench Stress Test. Never goes over 48 c while gaming.

I have been reading here and there and I want to ask about C states. Should they be disabled when overclocking? I know mine are enabled right now. Im not really looking to save any energy and I kinda feel like something is holding me back . Thats why I ask.
Many post's say to keep Speedstep enabled and C-States disabled but I wanted to ask here first.

Thank You in Advance.

I'd have to guess that if you're on a stable OC and have no desire to go for more, just leave it as it is.

My personal preference is no speedstep turbo or power saving. Still I'm interested to hear what people say about different settings.

That is old lore...

Speedstep and now speedshift are entirely compatible with OCing for normal clocks. You get the OC and you get downclocking and downvolting when the processor is not working hard...longer life for your CPU...
