ArsTechnica has their review up as well:

    **
The Ryzen 7 1800X, then, is a tale of two chips. One is a brilliant, disruptive, market changing, eight-core workstation powerhouse; the other is a competent, if wholly unsatisfying gaming CPU.

The MSI board is more solidly constructed with steel reinforcement of not only pci express slots but memory slots as well. It has military grade electronics and its 8x2 power phase may actaually be superior to the ROG 8x4 power phase. Also has more bells and whistles than the ROG board like an extra M.2 slot and front panel USB 3.1 port. . It also has a 1 button overclock that will apply needed voltage as well as set the overclock speed.
Of course it is another $44.
    OMG.

I have not needed steel reinforcement in the past, do I need now? no. Yeah new boards past my Z97 have this but come on, I can't recall ever damaging a board that way. My Z97 has had 15 GPUs in 2yrs I've owned it, yes 15 differing cards and don't know how many times swapped, does it have steel reinforced PCi-E??? no.

    And military grade electronics???

Which overclocker is going to want 1 button overclock??? and you going to go with voltage profiles from OC button??? please don't IMO. And I don't mean Asus do OC via Auto SW, etc better.

I don't think it really matters with Ryzen. *Bitwit stated on his channel that an AMD rep said golden examples might be able to hit 4.2 ghz, tops.

Time will tell on this, though.*

I would concur OC ability is not going to be stellar, I didn't expect it to be, to be honest.

Why I've gone AMD is "bang for $".

I have been on Intel CPU since ~2007. Any friends/family that I built a PC was go Intel. Now will be differing story IMO. It is a competitive chip, putting aside OC ability. AMD support their socket longer so should enjoy several CPUs with same mobo as I did on S939 .

This guy does thorough benchmarking https://youtu.be/mW1pzcdZxKc and I'd choose smoothness in games over higher frame rates, fastest way to remove yourself from a game world is STUTTER

OK so it has finally Ryzen from the ashes...but it's still a bit burnt and crusty round the edges.

    OC guide here http://support.amd.com/TechDocs/AMD%...rs%20Guide.pdf

If you can call that OCing

Note AMD say 1.35v max if you want your chip to last and SAFE IS STOCK. Lots of "safe" voltages already appearing all over the internet which clearly will not be...

There could be still hope that the 1700X or 1700 could reach 4Ghz without the price tag.
