While I commend your enthusiasm Vlada011 I can't but think this is a bit of a damp squib in the end. Seems like a lot of hype for what seems to be a good CPU at a good price but nothing more than that. Not that that's a bad thing..it's a good thing! But it's not AMD leapfrogs Intel in performance.
It is not the new performance leader. Sure it takes the shine off Intel 6900K and 6950K but the shine was taken off those by their own pricing. Glad this launch is putting a more realistic pricing on these.
Intel released all its chips with OC headroom. AMD obviously haven't...in an attempt to grab the lazy performance benchmarks. But this doesn't say anything about the performance enthusiasts want out of their CPUs. A lot of people are getting into basic water-cooling and many into full fledged water-cooling and want CPUs that can overclock.
My 5960X gets 1840 in Cinebench on it's daily settings. Haven't seen this from any of these CPUs yet.
All the benchmarks are dodgy attempts to paint Ryzen in the most pleasing light. The base clock of Ryzen is higher than Intel and Intel chips are being run at default turbo which means max turbo on one core and reduced turbo over more. This is not even close to the daily reality with ASUS multicore enhancement etc. and then no clock for clock comparison. Really stupid stuff from any independent point of view.
Where is the straight 1800X@4.0GHz vs 6900K and 6950X @4.0ghz comparrison? Where is the 4.5GHz comparrison?...Seems like there might never be one of those.

Don't worry about that. I have no doubt there will be IPC comparisons on Youtube within days of NDA expiration. Several big Youtube tech reviewers already have advance media bundles so it's possible said reviews are already in the can and ready for upload. Given that those media samples were probably hand picked we might see 4.5 even if mere mortals never reach it. Are there any Youtube tech folks that do LN2?

Where in hell did you hear this??? I read all the news feeds and web sites on Ryzen and that rumor is false and has ZERO traction. It has been overclocked well above 4.0 GHZ the numbers will be released Thursday March 2nd and you will have egg all over your face for spreading a false rumor.

Hang on a minute...so, informed opinion is trumped by marketing and rumour.
You're right in that we all have to wait for the real info. But in the meantime...I'd bet on the informed rather than the uninformed rumour
Yep...as always the silicon lottery...cant play for 4.4 if the top prize is 4.1 of course
I can see lots of dissapointment maybe coming for people who are buying fast RAM....don't count your chickens....

It is very interesting that all of the Ryzen CPUs are overclockable. I just hope that it doesn't produce that much heat and I also hope that the processor can be overclocked pretty high as well.

Get away Intel fan boy. I have bought G.Skill DDR4 3200 2 Sixteen GB modules. Cas latency 14 . It will work out of the box with either ROG Crosshair VI Hero or MSI Xpower Titanium, I do not know which I will buy. The MSI board is more solidly constructed with steel reinforcement of not only pci express slots but memory slots as well. It has military grade electronics and its 8x2 power phase may actaually be superior to the ROG 8x4 power phase. Also has more bells and whistles than the ROG board like an extra M.2 slot and front panel USB 3.1 port. . It also has a 1 button overclock that will apply needed voltage as well as set the overclock speed.
Of course it is another $44.
