    Hi Armyguydan123

    Welcome to the ROG forum.

You'll want to upgrade your psu before even thinking about a video card, your psu isn't enough to power any of those.

The Strix GTX 1050 Ti pulls around 100W more or less at full load so you'll be cutting it kinda close with a 230W unit. You should definately invest in a bigger unit. A PSU shouldn't the component for you to cheap out on.

A decent PSU is worth $80 CAD. If you don't mind one that's not modular: http://www.canadacomputers.com/produ...item_id=063158

If you can invest a little more you can get something much better.

I'm thinking the OP has a ROG G20 (Just my opinion) so using a modular power supply will not work.

The 180W power adapter is cheap enough and would let you use any video card up to 230W (The 180W would be for the rest of the PC).

Makes the low wattage make more sense now.

The ASUS FAQ site mentions the G20AJ with GTX970 (as well GTX760/GTX770/GTX780/GTX980) is using both the 180w+230w adapters.

    https://www.asus.com/us/support/FAQ/1010575/

If you want to search or browse the forums, there are some G20AJ customers like this one who have upgraded the vga card from the GTX 770 to GTX 1060. Since the G20AJ with GTX 770 uses 2 AC adapters, expect this customer is using both for the GTX 1060 as well.
