hi Pw, Sound-blaster-z , which model You want to buy? Rog Strix z270f gaming has PCI-e slots it can works 🙂
another option is the STRIX sound card series it should be fine

For what it's worth, I use a SoundBlaster ZxR with my IX Code without an issue. Prior to upgrading, I was using my ZxR on a VIII Hero Alpha. *

Do you hear a noticeable improvement in sound quality with the Z over the SupremeFX? Or are you using the ZxR for its pro audio features? I've got a Z as well and I'm wondering if it's worth it to migrate it to the new build (IX Formula) or just go with the onboard. I use a good headphone / tube amp combo, but I'm not doing any pro audio stuff (input, mixing, etc..), just listening to music and games.
