What to choose Asus FX553VD or ROG GL553VW?

Hi,

I am getting very confused with Asus different series..

Currently in my country (Sweden), there is same exact offers for Asus FX553VD (with GTX 1050,i5-7Gen, 8gb, TN screen) and ASUS ROG GL553VW (With GTX960M, i5-6Gen, 8gb, IPS).

I am not up to gaming very much (Fx's GPU little bit better), but to general performance more(FX's 7Gen is slightly better), build quality (seems ROG to win due to metal), screen quality (ROG's IPS also better), noise (?), and throttling (?), portability (ROG seems slimier\lighter), battery life (I assume GTX1050 more power hungry?, of course will not play on battery anyway).

Still I will do some gaming. And I will do some upgrades to any of them anyway (more RAM, and PLCe SSD)

There is a lot of nice reviews about the ROG, but I almost found nothing about FX series, for some reason they are not very popular.

I am really confused which one to take, any help is highly appreciated.

With the FX553VD, you get a better GPU and CPU, but you get a better overall build quality if you choose the GL553VW
It's really up to you which to choose. What kind of games do you play? Any titles in particular?
Or maybe this laptop is mostly for everyday use?
