Question about IX Hero onboard temp display

    Hello,
    I built a system of IX Hero, 7700K and 16GB DDR4 3200 RAM.
I set an option in BIOS to display CPU temp on the onboard small LED.
Is that a reliable CPU temp method? where does this sensor get CPU temp data?

    Thanks

I have never checked the temperature using the Qcode display, easy enough to do yourself, download and install AIDA64 and compare

Haven't used the feature myself. But, I always default to using temperature monitoring apps from within the OS as they are more "reliable". Or, maybe I am just used to using them for a couple of years and I can attest to their accuracy.

You could use aida 64 or real temp 3.70 to see if the motherboard led's are showing cpu socket temp or core temp.

    Stockwell paso

I use all the above temp and info tools
None matches the code display temp lol
All within few degrees C in idle but around 10c-15c to highest core in gaming BF1.
