Hello!
Is the first time i write here, personally I find 0902 BIOS to be the worst version so far. The voltage of cpu has frequent spikes to 1.504V, even up to 1.526V(in the photos you can see this voltage spikes, 2.790V I thing this is a sensor reading error), and also temperature.
I tied to set the voltage to 1.35v but i received black screen with restart. After I updated the BIOS i noticed that CpuZ needs almost 30 seconds to open.
A week ago I tested five days in a row various BIOS version, the best one for my mobo was 0702, i didn't see any changes in SOC voltage.
The fan control is not working, fans screams like hell.
Up to this BIOS version everything was smooth, now...............
The best feature of this mobo is behind the case, the CLEAR CMOS button.
It feels like buying a new home and the constructor tells you it still needs a window, a wall and makes you move from one room to another.
Come on, this is not a cheap mobo, in my country is almost 300 euro.
Regards!Last edited by t0xick; 03-15-2017 at 08:00 PM.

Yes, I'm using stock frequency, auto voltage, everything on auto. I tried with Offsets -100mV( because I noticed the Auto voltage almost all the time in BIOS is around 1.450V), but I received black screen with restart.
Another weird thing, before this, I had Asus Sabertooth 990FX R2.0, for which the BIOS POST was almost instant but with this CROSSHAIR VI HERO it takes 15-17 seconds.Last edited by t0xick; 03-15-2017 at 09:29 PM.

The shown voltage in CPU-Z for stock frequency and auto voltage is missing the internal offset. So voltages up to 1.52V are safe and within spec (1.4V on cores). Shorter spikes can go slightly above, but shouldn't for longer than a few seconds.
You can speed up the post by disabling some checks. I believe there's already a thread with suggestions or it was even in this thread.

I have the opposite problem on voltage. I have it set to 1.36 or 1.37 and cpu-z sees drops down to 1.35, then 1.33, then down to 1.30. From what i understand CPU-z is not reading proper voltage, but the odd thing is when I was stress testing it would only crash when cpu-z read the voltage at 1.3, as soon as it dropped, within a fraction of a second, the system crashed. Also anytime I change the multiplier the temperature now reads 0c and will fluctuate between 0-3c, turn off the multiplier and temps read as normal.
0902 seems really bad for basic overclocking so far, I'm still waiting for my am4 bracket from corsair, so i've been stuck with the wraith cooler. I had it super stable with the last public release bios at 3.7ghz at 1.35v, now i can't even push 3.6Ghz at 1.375. There is also inherent issues I have seen in games, not only crashing, but also really terrible frame rates at times and odd freezes where I can hear a buzzing sound through my headphones that last half a second or so. This is through an asus xonar xense pci-e card. It's pretty unlikely to be card related since it worked perfectly with the last public bios.
Regardless of the junkyness of 0902, It's still better than bricking the thing. Just hoping they roll out another update before too long.Last edited by Pandemix; 03-15-2017 at 10:05 PM.

Anytime I get an overclock failed message and I get back into the bios my temps are 15-20c higher than normal. I would recommend setting your voltage manually. In the last bios, mine runs plenty cool at 1.37v, idle temps around 27c-30c, load temps never got much above 50c stress testing...and that's on the wraith cooler. Also if you go into the settings and turn off the asus startup Full Screen option and set the post time to 1-2 seconds, that will get you in to windows much faster. Not sure why, but that makes the initial post beep hit MUCH quicker as well. I also turned the other option, right below it, to Fast boot as well.

Same about me. 0902 really looks worst. On bios screen and ai suite cpu temp looks 60+ and cpu cooler works %100. I tried to you with it but it's really impossible. Fan so loud and system always freezes, whenever i right click on desktop freezes, when i wanna use apps all of them always randomly freezes, can't play single game. I tried hard to find 0702, it's not that stable but really better than 0902. Never freeze when i perform right click on desktop but on games freezes sometimes.
And i'm really angry with it. I know myself, if my system or something freezes, it's really makes me crazy. I choosed this mainboard which designed for GAMERS and can you believe ? it's freezes...Last edited by MeQira; 03-16-2017 at 08:46 AM.
