Hi, I have the Maximus VI Formula. Can any of you confirm that the Samsung 960 EVO worked for you as PCIe NVMe to install and boot Windows 10 on? Which PCIe card did you use? The HYPER M.2 X4 MINI CARD is not officially supported on Z87. Thanks <3

I see no one answered you and I can't seem to get answers here either. I'm asking the same question all over the place and can not seem to get a solid answer. I'm looking at the below SSD and want to know if it will work or not for my Maximus VI Formula. I know there is a little M.2 card slot on the board but what works with it? There are too many types now it seems and all seem the same to me. I don't want to waste my time and shipping back a drive that is not compatible. Please verify this link will work if you managed to get an Nvme SSD to function normally without guru implementation. Thanks in advance to anyone that responds.

    It's now working 100%.
    Hope this could help you.

Is this what I need to install to use an Nvme SSD on Maximus VI Formula?

Yeah. I used this version of bios compiled with the nvme module and worked fine. I used the nvme ssd with a pci adapter.*

    Hi guys.
Sorry to refresh this Topic, but i got an issue and i don't know how to fix it:

Im using a Asus Maximus VI Formula with BIOS Version 1603

I also planning to integrate a NVMe in PCIe with OS.

    - I followed all steps (https://www.win-raid.com/t871f50-Gui...UEFI-BIOS.html)

But whenever i try to flash the bios using EZ Flash 2 in BIOS-Mode i get the error message: "Security verification failed"

I also tried both methodes (UEFI TOOL & AMI's Aptio UEFI MMTool) to insert the nvme module, but both led to the same result " Security verification failed".

But EZ Flash 2 accepts the original Bios-File Ver.1603, so it cant be a compability issue..

    (P.S. Non-native Speaker )

    Greetings

Edit: Fixed it using USB BIOS Flashback

Just wanted to report that I have used the Plextor NvME pcie drive with zero issues, full speed, no special drivers, if you are interested. I also have one for sale because I went back to SLI cards and needed the lanes.
