It is my first ever post in Asus forums so I want to thank everyone in advance who is willing to help me clarify an issue. I have just bought the MB mentioned in the title and I have no cpu yet. I am planning to buy a I7 7700k Kaby Lake cpu but I am aware of the fact that I won't be able use it unless I upgrade the bios first. That's where I am a little confused. So, the MB has a USB bios flashback button at the back as some high-end MBs have but the manual says I need to install the USB bios flashback software prior to using it unlike some MBs (ROG crosshair) which don't require any kind of software installation IOT use the feature. Has anyone tried the "USB bios flashback "feature on a z170 sabertooth s MB with no cpu&memory and with no software installed? If someone could verify this, you'd save me some dollars and stop me from buying a wrong processor. Thank you.
