Something is definitely closer to the mark with my memory CMU32GX4M2C3200C16B. while using 1401 revision I could not get above 2933. With 1403 I can get 3066 ( or whatever it is above 2933). But to do this I had to run with PROodt 96 which I think caused a heat issue. Nothing showed up on temp warnings, but windows shut down with errors after 3 hours of gaming use.

I will stick with 1403 as it is no different in speed to 1401 for me. CPU z tests comeback near enough the same.

Can someone tell me why it is not possible to flash back the BIOS to an older version?
My board is Rev 1.03 and came with 1002. I flashed the UEFI 1401 Beta BIOS to this board. Everything works fine except of wrong showing temperatures and voltages. So I wanted to test 1201 or 1002. But every time the flash tool inside the BIOS tells me that these are not proper BIOS files. I don't know if it would work with the flash back feature but I don't wanna brick my board. With my old C6H board is was possible to flash back to older BIOS versions. I can only flash to 1403. And with this version I have the same issues like before. Shows me a CPU temperature of 18 degrees Celsius and my vcore voltage and dram voltage do not get higher than 1.308V.

With 1403 I get the message "EVALUATION VERSION" at each boot now.

It is still possible to flash back to an older bios. The bios flash back button needs to be used for that. Just place the bios to flash back to on a USB stick and rename it C6H.CAP. Do not use the renaming tool; does not work. Just F2 and type in C6H and then enter.

So it seems that everyone with this RAM (Me too, I have same model) is stuck at 2933Mhz until new BIOS may possible solve this issue.

Also, I noticed that you cannot disable CSM in BIOS. If you do, you will boot back into BIOS. With previous versions you could do that to save few seconds of boot time but with this BIOS you can't. Just FYI.

96 is the highest recommended by Asus.

However Robert Halleck from AMD said that any thing above 80 will require super cooling technics. The heat spreader was warm but not overly so. Obviously the base was a lot hotter, I think in this case temp was the issue. I have reverted back now so it wont be an issue anymore. I have ran on a previous revision at 96 PROodt, and it ran fine for a few weeks.

I have it as well but I had it since I bought the board. So also on previous bios versions.

I bought some 3466mhz rated b-die to see if I could run it @3466mhz the same as the 4266mhz trident I already own. thought it could save a few people some money. only its taken over a month to reach its destination. worst delivery ever...hopefully it will be here tomorrow. my system hass had no cold boot issues. I'm very happy with the systems stability now. id be happy to build a pc based on this chipset for a customer and feel safe knowing the system will be stable. well done with this bios.

edit. rgb issues are all sorted aswell. no more corrupting ram spd's.
