The easiest solution is likely flashback if not wanting to tune. That said, if you were experiencing 2133 issues on cold boot then the system is also unstable on the previous build. Not all CPU need as much VDDR SOC as you are using for that memory speed, so this may also help stabilise the system. More can be equally as detremental as too little - for instance my sample is comfortable with 1.1v. You want to look to this, and ProcODT as the initial settings to adjust for memory stablity.
Not all CPU will do 3.9 and above. Temps will help, but probably not best to push past 1.45v. It is what it is, unfortunately. That being Zen doesn't overclock very well.
In your shoes I would stick to whichever build gives you the best base line stability, and tune from there.

UEFI 1401 : now DDR4 @ 3200 Mhz with ease
Hi,
Just wanted to say that thanks to the new UEFI 1401 I can now properly use my 3200 Mhz RAM, while I was limited to between 2933 and around 3000 Mhz in UEFI 1201. If I used 3200 Mhz before, for some unknown reason my PCI WIFI card wasn’t working (it wasn’t see by Windows 10 anymore).
I’m not interested in OC for the moment, I just wanted to use my hardware at its regular possibility. I didn’t test the stability for long, but it seems to work fine with CineBench, prime95, and in games.
And to achieve this result I almost didn’t forced anything in the settings, it was all the default setting (except DDR4 timings). So, good works, and thanks a lot !
My hardware :
Crosshair VI Hero
R5 1600X @ 3600 Mhz (CPU multiplier forced manually to stay at x36.0)
Noctua NH-U12S SE-AM4
2x8GB Flare X (F4-3200C14D-16GFX) with timings manually set to 14-14-14-34-48-1T (I used the same as in the SPD)

So switched to 1401.
running my ram (Corsair lpx with hynix chips) with DOCP Standard and it works at 2933 with 16-17-17-35 (should be 15-17-17-35 but gets rounded up i guess).
only thing that seems wrong is the CPU Temp...currently its reading 8-12°C while my water is at 30°C (in the AI Suite)
EDIT:
After disabling senseMI the Temps seem much more reasonable with 35°C idleLast edited by Krayn; 06-22-2017 at 04:26 PM.

Hello Krayn
I run the HyperX Fury at the same speed and timings like you.
Normaly this DIM is specified for 2666Mhz.
I'm glad it works OC'ed with 4x8GB
AISuite has some problems too here. Temps seem to be ok but the FSB is shown wrong.
I only use this programm to tune my fans and this works perfect.
Same like at my other x99 boards.
Maybe newer version will fix this bugs. So stay tuned *haha*

1401 seems pretty stable so far for me, I've been running it for a week and no cold boot issues I was experiencing with 1201 and I'm still able to run 3200Mhz memory with no issues.
So far so good.
Specs
R1700 3.9Ghz 1.425v (with +offset) With Pstate 0 enabled, will try enabling pstate 1 and 2 today.
G.Skill Flare X 3200 Mhz 14-14-14-14-34
DRAM Voltage 1.4 (However I'm sure I can get away with 1.35v)
SOC 1.2
PLL 1.8
There are other settings that I've tweaked that I don't recall at the moment, will edit tonight.

After my first Crosshair MB bricked itself I got my new Crosshair from ASUS.
I saw the 1401 R4 BIOS from elmor and decided to flash this on my C6H MB.
Then I tried to get my Trident-Z RAM to 3200Mhz.
I was also able to undervolt my CPU. My 1700X runs with 3.9Ghz at 1.3V.
To make sure, that my settings are stable, I used MemTest and Prime. So I tested 20GB of RAM with full CPU Load at the same time. Other Benchmarks like Cinebench are stable as well.
These are my results:

1401 better than 1201
Hi All,
Just to share my finding with current hardware:
1. CH6 with BIOS 1401 Cold boot fixed
2. G skill RGB F4-3000C16D-16GTZR (Hynix die) working at 2933Mhz wit the following tweaks:
a. DOCP Standard
b. DRAM voltage = 1.365
c. VTTDDR Voltage = 0.68
3. Ryzen 1700 OC to 3.95GHz Stable (i don't wanna push more because not have WC) config:
CPU core ratio = 39.50
CPU Voltage with offset mode set = 0.20000
VDDCR CPU and SOC = Level4
4. Sound over SPDIF still not good
Tested everything with 5 runs of CInebench, prime95 4 hours, AIDA64 2hours, no BSOD no black screen.Last edited by Devonn_Azagoth; 06-22-2017 at 11:07 PM.
